EXECUTIVE ORDER

BY THE GOVERNOR:

WHEREAS:

The 1999 Georgia General Assembly passed Senate Resolution 184, which was signed by me on April 28, 1999, as Resolution Act 42, and which creates the Joint Study Committee on Art Policies for the Capitol and Governor's Mansion for the purpose of undertaking a study of the conditions, needs, issues and problems related to the collection, acquisition, deaccessioning, preservation and display of art work in the Capitol, Capitol Education Center and Governor's Mansion; and

WHEREAS: Senate Resolution 184 provides that the Governor shall appoint four members to the Joint Study Committee on Art Policies for the Capitol and Governor's Mansion;

NOW THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY

ORDERED: That the following persons be, and they are hereby appointed as, members of the Joint Study Committee on Art Policies for the Capitol and Governor's Mansion:

IT IS FURTHER

ORDERED:

That the forenamed members shall serve a term along with members appointed by the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and with the executive director of the Georgia Building Authority or his designee and the Secretary of State, in accordance with Senate Resolution 184, and that the committee shall make a report of its findings and recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly on or before December 3 1, 1999, and shall stand abolished on December 3 1,1999.
