THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:
WHEREAS: Legislation was introduced during the 1999 Session of the General Assembly that created the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority; and
WHEREAS: The General Assembly passed House Bill 144, the General Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2000, during the 1999 Legislative Session that appropriated $1 ,OOO,OOO in state funds to the Department of Natural Resources as operating expenses for the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority; and
WHEREAS: The General Assembly passed Senate Bill 57 during the 1999 Legislatkle Session to create the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority attached to the Departmentpf Community Affairs for administrative purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY
ORDERED:
That $1 ,OOO,OOO in state funds appropriated to the Department of Natural Resources for the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority in House Bill 144, the General Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2000, be transferred to the Department of Community Affairs for the purpose of operating the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority for the period July 1, 1999 through June 30,200O.
