THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER

BY THE GOVERNOR:

WHEREAS: Kennan Loy Williams, a volunteer firefighter gave his life in the line of duty. The tire which took his life occurred in a church in Banks County, Georgia.

WHEREAS:

Section 4% 12-35 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated provides that the Governor of the State of Georgia is authorized, in his discretion, to offer and cause to be paid a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person or persons who have committed a felony in the State of Georgia (conviction meaning a final judgment of conviction and the affirmance of that conviction upon any appeal taken).

NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, PARTICULARLY BY VIRTUE OF THE PROVISIONS OF THE AFORESAID ACT, IT IS HEREBY

ORDERED: That a reward in the amount of $5,000 is hereby offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for setting the tire that took the life of this volunteer firefighter.
