THE STA TE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:
WHEREAS: In 1992, the General Assembly created the Department of Children and Youth Services; and
WHEREAS: In 1992, the General Assembly created the Board of Children and Youth Services to establish the general policy to be followed by the Department; and
WHEREAS: An Executive Order was issued on November 17, 1993 creating the Judicial Advisory Council to the Board of Children and Youth Services to advise the Board on issues relating to juvenile justice and other matters facing the Board; and
WHEREAS: In 1997, the General Assembly changed the name of the Department of Children and Youth Services and the Board of Children and Youth Services to the Department of Juvenile Justice and the Board of Juvenile Justice, respectively; and
WHEREAS: It is therefore necessary to reestablish the Judicial Advisory Council to the Board of Children and Youth Services to reflect the new name of the Board of Juvenile Justice;
NOW THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY
ORDERED: There is created the Judicial Advisory Council to the Board of Juvenile Justice, to be composed of the following judges:

IT IS FURTHER
ORDERED:
That the members of the Council shall serve without compensation, except that each member may be reimbursed for expenses incurred as a result of the duties as a member of the Council in accordance with state travel regulations, and shall be paid from funds available to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
