ICYMI: First Lady Marty Kemp, DOAS Announce Human Trafficking Awareness Training
Atlanta, GA - On Monday, January 13, First Lady Marty Kemp and the Georgians for Refuge, Action, Compassion, and Education (GRACE) Commission, in collaboration with the Georgia Department of Administrative Services (DOAS), launched a Human Trafficking Awareness Training program for State of Georgia employees. Atlanta Journal Constitution: "At the start of the legislative session, Gov. Brian Kemp and his administration sent the unmistakable signal Monday that cracking down on sex trafficking remains at the top of his agenda. The Republican is expected to soon outline legislation that increases penalties for those convicted of the crime. And his wife, Marty Kemp, unveiled a new training program to help identify sex trafficking victims."
Athens Banner-Herald: "The Georgia Department of Administrative Services (doas.ga.gov) is administering the website, which will offer training to more than 80,000 state workers as well as any member of the public interested in the program...Kemp and his wife, first lady Marty Kemp, have made human trafficking a top priority."
The Moultrie Observer: "There are terrible people out there who control [victims'] every move and force them to do unspeakable things," First Lady Marty Kemp said. "Education and awareness is the way to fight against human trafficking."
