Governor Perdue to Tour Areas Affected by Wildfires
ATLANTA Governor Sonny Perdue will be briefed by the Georgia Emergency Management Agency and the Georgia Forestry Commission on the wildfires in Southeast Georgia, TOMORROW, Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 2 p.m. The briefing will be open to the media. Following the briefing the Governor will do an aerial tour of the area affected by the fires. A limited number of seats are available to the media on a helicopter to transport them from Atlanta to Waycross. A limited number of seats will also be available for local and state media to view the fire damage after the Governor's briefing. Interested members of the media should contact the Governor's Communications Office at (404) 651-7774.
