Hello, Due to the incredible response we continue to receive, we are extending the deadline for our Back-toSchool Packs backpack drive through this Thursday, July 27. As I wrote in my earlier email, for the past two years, the Georgia Department of Education has come together to meet the needs of our students through our "Back-to-School Packs" backpack drive. We are hosting a drive again this year, and we'd like to invite you to participate.
To donate online to support this effort, click here and enter the word BACKPACKS in the field that reads "please designate this donation to the following project"
The funds will be used to purchase backpacks and school supplies (crayons, pencils, pencil sharpeners, pencil boxes, erasers, highlighters, folders, notebooks, glue sticks, and paper) for elementary students in need. Please make any donations by July 27, 2017. I cannot overstate the response we receive from our school districts each year when we bring the backpacks through their doors. The need is great and any contribution you are able to make, large or small, will be deeply appreciated. Thank you so much for your willingness to support students.
