Federal & State Funding to Support Tourism
Funding is critical to the recovery of Georgia's tourism industry, and Explore Georgia is working with GDEcD leadership and the Governor's office on these funding opportunities. Since it is not guaranteed that Explore Georgia will receive funding, or that sub-grants will be available, we encourage everyone who is eligible to apply directly. The EDA provides a helpful FAQ page to answer any questions.

EDA: Competitive Tourism Grants
The Travel, Tourism & Oudoor Recreation Program from the EDA is focused on accelerating recovery of communities that rely on the travel, tourism, and outdoor recreation sectors. From the program, there is $240 million available to non-state tourism organizations to help with recovery from pandemic-related closures and support efforts including marketing, infrastructure, workforce, and other projects. Applications for the Competitive Tourism Grants are due by March 15, 2022.
