New Research Now Available
In a time when it is critical that we make the best decisions as to how, when, and where we market to our visitors, it's important that we understand and reflect on our baseline and answer the question we're all asking: where were we before? To help you answer this question, work smarter, and get through the challenges facing travel, we've expanded and adjusted the annual research reports we provide to you. The following reports are now available:
The 2019 Georgia Travel USA Visitor Profile produced by Longwoods International includes domestic visitor volume and profile data for travel to and within Georgia. This report replaces the annual Visitor Profile from D.K. Shiflett. Some data may not be directly comparable between reports, but available historical and year-over-year performance values are included in the 2019 Profile for context.
An executive summary of statewide domestic travel metrics for Georgia by Longwoods International. The Explore Georgia 2019 Regional Visitation Patterns Report produced by Arrivalist is a new report that includes statewide and regional visitation patterns and insights based on GPS location data.
We previewed both the Longwoods and Arrivalist reports at the Georgia Tourism Summit. In addition to what was presented, there is an abundance of regional and county level visitation insights - some of which are familiar to you and some you have never seen before. The new report from Arrivalist gives insights into airport visitor flow, cross-regional visitation, regional trip composition by county, regional visitation share and more. Among other details in the Longwoods report, you'll have access to important information on visitor volume, expenditures, trip purpose, seasonality, origins, activities and demographics for both overnight and day trip travelers.
Reestablishing our relationship with Longwoods International brings added benefits such as greater internal consistency with our other data sources and making our data more compatible with our partners' reporting.
These research reports are an important tool to give you a comprehensive understanding of your local tourism industry, customers, and competition, and to create a strategy for growth.
