EXPLORE GEORGIA UPDATE

1 of 3

Many thanks to those of you who were among the more than 500 attendees at the 2019 Georgia Governor's Tourism Conference Sept. 9-11 in LaGrange. We appreciate all of the positive comments shared about the general sessions, breakouts, and events hosted at Great Wolf Lodge and Sweetland Amphitheatre. If you haven't heard, we announced Georgia Tourism has rebranded and will now be known as "Explore Georgia." T his new brand issues a consistent call to action that requires an answer and a trip to be planned. Over the coming year, we will be integrating the new brand across all channels and incorporating our "visitor-first" approach into our campaign

explore our state.

During the Conference, the Explore Georgia team hosted our first Partner Program Overview meeting to present the inaugural Partner Opportunities Book detailing new and ongoing ways to engage with our programs and amplify your sales and marketing efforts. Full details and a digital version of the guide can be found on MarketGeorgia.org. We also hosted an open forum session to discuss tourism marketing issues and the invaluable feedback will inform a partner survey in the near future.

Governor Brian Kemp joined the conference on Wednesday to address the industry and help present the 2019 Georgia Tourism Awards. A full list of the winners can be found here. Photos for the awards and the entire conference are here. We appreciate all the partners and sponsors statewide who participated in the Georgia Governor's Tourism Conference this year and look forward to seeing everyone again next year, Aug. 30 - Sept. 2, 2020, at Lanier Islands Legacy Lodge.
