October 2016
Friends,
We've dedicated this special issue of PeachByte to storm recovery. Many of our industry colleagues are struggling to repair their homes and businesses after Hurricane Matthew. Please keep them in your thoughts as they work hard to come back. At the same time, those businesses that are open again are struggling to recover amid media reports that might convince potential travelers that the coast is closed. Please pitch in, if you can, to help let folks know that our coast is indeed open for business. Social media is a terrific venue for that kind of news!
Also, a huge shout out to the individuals and businesses who helped to feed and shelter first responders and volunteers. I have heard many stories of selfless sacrifice to help others. Finally, please consider a vacation or getaway to the Georgia Coast. It's an amazingly beautiful destination - and our coastal communities and businesses need our help to get back on their feet. Pitch the idea to your family, employees, colleagues, friends and neighbors. Your friends and colleagues on the Coast will appreciate it more than you know!
