You are invited to the 2014 Georgia Travel Guide's unveiling March 18 Plan to join us Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at the Margaret Mitchell House for a special unveiling of the 2014 Georgia Travel Guide. Also, preview an exhibit highlighting the events and people in Atlanta surrounding the world premiere of the motion picture version of "Gone With the Wind." RSVP today!
2. Update information about your attractions for the 2015 Georgia Travel Guide Work has begun to compile data for the 2015 Georgia Travel Guide. Information for the guide comes from http://exploregeorgia.org. By March 31, 2014, confirm that your attraction information is up to date on http://partner.exploregeorgia.org so you can be considered for next year's guide. Attractions must meet certain criteria to be considered for the print publication. Refer to the criteria online.
3. RSVP for Atlanta Magazine's Best of Atlanta Party on March 25 Join us Tuesday, March 25, at 7 p.m. for the 27th anniversary of Atlanta Magazine's Best of Atlanta Party at Cobb Galleria Centre. Restaurants and food trucks from the Cheap Eats issue, the Best New Restaurants issue, and the December Best of Atlanta issue are invited to create samples of their signature dish for 2,400 guests. Reserve your spot today.
4. Apply for a scholarship to attend STS Marketing College The Georgia Department of Economic Development and Miles, Interactive Agency of Record for the GDEcD, will offer a full scholarship to the Southeast Tourism Society Marketing College to a tourism marketing professional working in the state of Georgia. Scholarship applications are now available online. Deadline: April 14, 2014.
5. Georgia Tourism announces new PR agency of record Georgia Tourism has selected the Dalton Agency as our public relations agency of record. Stay connected with two new tools that will result from the partnership: the Google Group for Georgia PR Professionals and the monthly Public Relations HotSheet.
6. Find presentations from the Regional Visitor Information Center Workshop* Tourism professionals from Georgia's Visitor Information Centers and Regional Visitor Information Centers across the state met for professional development in Athens in late February. Attendees had the opportunity to unleash their creative potential and experience an array of eclectic familiarization experiences. Presentations from the workshop are now online.
