CHINA BUSINESS MISSION Governor Perdue's April China mission was a resounding success. Read more about Delta's inaugural flight to Shanghai, Gov. Perdue's visits with Chinese businesses, the opening of GDEcD's new business center in Beijing, and a Chinese high-tech company that plans to locate in Atlanta.

Governor Perdue announces that a PETCO distribution center is coming to Braselton, creating 217 jobs and investing $19 million.

In April GDEcD announced the 100th community to be designated Entrepreneur Friendly, as part of National Small Business Week. A total of 133 communities around the state are anticipated to join the program through August in a process that helps them become more welcoming to small businesses and entrepreneurs. Read more
The inaugural Southeastern United StatesCanadian Provinces conference will kick off June 15-17 in Savannah, Georgia as Governor Perdue hosts this historic event. SEUSCanada will promote trade, investment, tourism, educational and friendship ties among the six Southeastern states and seven Canadian provinces in the alliance. Read more
