Georgia's Poet Laureate inducted into the Georgia Writer's Hall of Fame launches new initiatives with Georgia Council for the Arts Judson Mitcham, Georgia's 10th Poet Laureate, was inducted into the Georgia Writer's Hall of Fame on Nov. 11, 2013. The ceremony took place at the University of Georgia's Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library. As part of the induction celebration, Mitcham, along with the Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA), announced a new series of statewide initiatives to foster appreciation for and awareness of the art of poetry and the work of Georgia writers.
