DCA Names New Board
The first order of business at DCA 's quarterly Board of Directors meeting in Augusta on August 24, 2016, was the installation of new officers. Joyce Stevens, of Good Hope, was appointed as Chair; Frank Turner, of Covington, as Vice-Chair; and Larry Hanson, of Valdosta, as Secretary. DCA Hosts National COSCDA Conference in Savannah
DCA had the honor of hosting the Council of State Community Development Agencies (COSCDA) annual conference at the Hyatt Regency in Savannah, Georgia from September l l - l 4th , 2016. COSCDA is a national association advocating and enhancing the leadership role of states in community development and provides a forum for state agencies to share best practices. Mortgage Principal Reduction

New Limited-Time DCA Initiative Can Help Homeowners
Underwater on Their Mortgages
On September 28, Georgia homeowners who owe more on their mortgage than their homes are worth will have a new opportunity to receive help . Underwater Georgia is a limited-time, federally funded program to help Georgians through a one-time principal reduction. Fall Conference

First Annual DCA Fall Conference to Encompass
Annual CDBG Workshop
The first annual 2016 DCA Fall Conference will be held on October 6-7, 2016, at the Hyatt Regency Savannah. As part of an expanded conference agenda, DCA will provide an agency-wide overview designed to increase awareness of the wealth of resources available to our communities from DCA programs. DCA at Work: Board Tours Three Shining Examples
of DCA-Funded Projects
This year's annual off-site DCA Board meeting in Augusta gave DCA a chance to highlight three examples of project success with private sector partners. First, the Board toured ADP Augusta, including a glimpse inside the company's cutting edge data protection center, CIRC (Critical Incidence Response Center). In coordination with the Georgia Department of Economic Development, DCA has provided $5. l million over nearly 10 years to ADP for its Augusta facility . ..... read more here
