Address Changes
All address changes must now be made through NMLS. If you change your main address on NMLS and the new address will also be your mailing address, please complete the mailing address section on NMLS.
The Department realizes that NMLS instructions say provide the mailing address "if different from main address." However, if your situation matches the one described above, leaving the mailing address blank will cause your previous mailing address to remain on the Department's records. The Department will have no knowledge of the new mailing address unless and until it is called to the Department's attention. The Department expects that a solution to correct this situation will be in place shortly.
REMINDER: Contact Information
The Department's primary means of communication with mortgage licensees/ registrants and with new applicants is via e-mail; therefore, it is critical that e-mail addresses and other contact information listed on the NMLS remain current and accurate.
Each applicant should also be aware that if his or her application is approved, he or she will receive an e-mail from the Department with login instructions for printing the license certificate from the Department's secure website. If your e-mail address is not correct in the NMLS, you will not receive these important instructions.
OFFICE CLOSING
This is a reminder that the Department will be closed on Monday, September 6th for Labor Day.
