The market is steady to firm to occasionally weak, and the live supply is short to adequate for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable to occasionally slightly heavy. Estimated slaughter today is 4,693,400 head. This compares with 4,683,600 head last Monday.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $1.5850 (based on 1,925,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $1.6450 (based on 9,168,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.03 (based on 1,344,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.2050 (based on 2,485,000 lbs.); thighs 62.50 (based on 1,173,000 lbs.); drumsticks 45.00 (based on 1,834,000 lbs.); leg quarters 35.50 (based on 8,887,000 lbs.); and wings $1.50 (based on 3,923,000 lbs.). Demand on line run tenders, whole breasts and wings is good to normal, mostly good,; demand on skinless boneless breasts and drumsticks is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally light; demand on boneless skinless thigh meat is mostly normal, occasionally good to light; demand on thighs is mostly good, occasionally light to normal; and demand on leg quarters is mostly good, occasionally normal to light.

Average weights are desirable with a higher to steady, occasionally firm to lower price trend. Estimated slaughter today is 4,664,100 head. This compares with 4,726,800 head last Tuesday.

Cooler inventories and supplies on all parts are balanced to occasionally heavy to light, with a good to balanced to light demand.
