The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.0450 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. 100% (representing 998 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 89.00 to $1.09 with a final weighted average of $1.0372 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is steady and the live supply is adequate to short for a normal to good demand. Average weights are desirable to a little light. Estimated slaughter today is 4,763,200 head. This compares with 4,750,000 head last Monday.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $1.89 (based on 1,732,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $1.8850 (based on 7,497,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.06 (based on 1,807,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.41 (based on 1,251,000 lbs.); thighs 73.50 (based on 1,328,000 lbs.); drumsticks 73.00 (based on 1,347,000 lbs.); leg quarters 50.50 (based on 9,379,000 lbs.); and wings $1.29 (based on 3,483,000 lbs.). Demand on most parts is good to normal, mostly good; with the exceptions of whole breasts which is normal to good, mostly normal; and wings which is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally light.

The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on parts were: line run tenders $1.89; skinless boneless breasts $1.8850 whole breasts $1.06; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.41; thighs 73.50; drumsticks 73.00; leg quarters 50.50; and wings $1.29. Cooler inventories and supplies on all parts are balanced to light to occasionally heavy with a demand ranging balanced to good to occasionally light. Price trend on all parts is mostly lower to higher, occasionally steady.

Demand on line run tenders, skinless boneless breasts, whole breasts thighs, drumsticks and leg quarters is good to normal, mostly good; demand on whole breasts is normal to good, mostly normal; demand on boneless skinless thigh meat is good to light, occasionally normal; and demand on wings is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally light.

Estimated hen slaughter for the week ending today is 226,609 head. Estimated hen slaughter for the corresponding week a year ago was 170,875 head.
