The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.0450 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. 100% (representing 997 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 89.00 to $1.1041 with a final weighted average of $1.0372 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is steady and the live supply is adequate to short for a normal to good demand. Average weights are desirable to a little light. Estimated slaughter today is 4,750,000 head. This compares with 4,771,900 head last Monday.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $1.8850 (based on 1,732,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $1.89 (based on 7,517,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.0550 (based on 1,787,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.44 (based on 1,251,000 lbs.); thighs 73.50 (based on 1,328,000 lbs.); drumsticks 72.50 (based on 1,347,000 lbs.); leg quarters 50.50 (based on 9,379,000 lbs.); and wings $1.30 (based on 3,483,000 lbs.). Demand on most parts is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally light; with the exceptions of boneless skinless thigh meat which is good to light; and thighs and drumsticks which is good to normal, mostly good.

The market is steady to slightly weak, and the live supply is adequate to short for a normal to good demand. Average weights are desirable to occasionally light. Estimated slaughter today is 4,750,900 head. This compares with 4,788,400 head last Tuesday.
The f.o.b. dock quoted prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for next week's trading are: line run tenders $1.83; skinless boneless breasts $1.80; whole breasts $1.0050; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.4450; thighs 69.00; drumsticks 63.00; leg quarters 49.50 and wings $1.29. Demand on line run tenders, whole breasts, boneless skinless thigh meat, and wings is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally light; and demand on skinless boneless breasts, thighs, drumsticks, and leg quarters is good to normal, mostly good.

The market is steady, and the live supply is adequate to short for a normal to good demand. Average weights are desirable to occasionally light. Estimated slaughter today and Saturday is 5,913,000 head. This compares with 4,537,800 head last Friday and Saturday.
The Poultry Market News Office was closed Wednesday and Thursday due to the weather. Estimated kill Wednesday was 3,267,800 head. Thursday was 3,256,500 head. The storm disrupted production schedules at several plants causing some production to shift to the weekend.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed preliminary weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $1.9350 (based on 1,438,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $1.95 (based on 6,150,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.09 (based on 1,138,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.44 (based on 1,045,000 lbs.); thighs 73.50 (based on 1,219,000 lbs.); drumsticks 73.50 (based on 1,079,000 lbs.); leg quarters 51.00 (based on 7,909,000 lbs.); and wings $1.29 (based on 3,211,000 lbs.). Demand on most parts is good to normal, mostly good; with the exceptions of whole breasts which is normal to good, occasionally light; and wings which is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally light.
Estimated hen slaughter for the week ending today is unavailable at this time.
Estimated total slaughter for the week ending Saturday for broilers and fryers is 21,938,200 head. This compares with 23,466,900 head of broilers and fryers for the corresponding week a year ago.
