The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.14 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. 100% (representing 1,015 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of $1.04 to $1.19 with a final weighted average of $1.1283 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is firm to steady to occasionally weak and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable to a little heavy. Estimated slaughter today is 4,543,100 head. This compares with 4,736,800 head last Monday.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $2.2250 (based on 1,970,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $2.17 (based on 8,115,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.29 (based on 1,758,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.4050 (based on 1,729,000 lbs.); thighs 74.50 (based on 1,327,000 lbs.); drumsticks 63.50 (based on 1,865,000 lbs.); leg quarters 52.50 (based on 9,079,000 lbs.); and wings $1.5850 (based on 3,746,000 lbs.). Demand most parts is good to normal, mostly good; with the exceptions of line run tenders, skinless boneless breasts, and leg quarters which is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally light.

The market tone for next week's trading is firm to steady to occasionally weak and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal to demand. Average weights are desirable to a little heavy with a mostly steady to higher to occasionally lower and firm price trend. Estimated slaughter today is 4,747,600 head. This compares with 4,766,700 head last Tuesday.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on parts were: line run tenders $2.2250 skinless boneless breasts $2.17 whole breasts $1.29; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.4050; thighs 74.50; drumsticks 63.50; leg quarters 52.50; and wings $1.5850. Cooler inventories and supplies on all parts are balanced to occasionally light and heavy with a mostly balanced to good, occasionally light demand. Price trend on all parts is mostly higher to lower, occasionally firm, weak and steady.

Demand on whole breasts, thighs, drumsticks, and wings is good to normal, mostly good; and demand on line run tenders, skinless boneless breasts, boneless skinless thigh meat and leg quarters is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally light.
Estimated hen slaughter for the week ending today is 249,664 head. Estimated hen slaughter for the corresponding week a year ago was 171,001 head.
