The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.0450 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. 100% (representing 997 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 91.85 to $1.1041 with a final weighted average of $1.0409 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is steady and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable. Estimated slaughter Monday was 4,023,500 head. This compares with 4,732,500 head last Monday.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $1.9150 (based on 1,732,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $1.88 (based on 7,497,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.07 (based on 1,807,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.4350 (based on 1,251,000 lbs.); thighs 73.50 (based on 1,328,000 lbs.); drumsticks 73.00 (based on 1,347,000 lbs.); leg quarters 50.50 (based on 9,379,000 lbs.); and wings $1.2950 (based on 3,483,000 lbs.). Demand on most parts is good to normal, mostly good; with the exceptions of skinless boneless breasts and leg quarters which is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally light; and whole breasts which is normal to good, mostly normal.

The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on parts were: line run tenders $1.9150; skinless boneless breasts $1.88 whole breasts $1.07; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.4350; thighs 73.50; drumsticks 73.00; leg quarters 50.50; and wings $1.2950. Cooler inventories and supplies on all parts are balanced to light, with a demand ranging balanced to good, occasionally light. Price trend on all parts is mostly lower to higher, occasionally weak and steady.

Demand on line run tenders, boneless skinless thigh meat, thighs, drumsticks, leg quarters and wings is good to normal, mostly good; demand on skinless boneless breasts is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally light; and demand on whole breasts is normal to good.
Estimated hen slaughter for the week ending today is 192,427 head. Estimated hen slaughter for the corresponding week a year ago was 199,275 head.
Estimated total slaughter for the week ending today for broilers and fryers is 23,989,400 head. This compares with 22,604,400 head of broilers and fryers for the corresponding week a year ago.
