The Georgia Poultry Market News Office was closed for Memorial Day. The Final Weighted Average Price Report normally published on Monday was published, Tuesday, May 27.
The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.09 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. 100% (representing 1,014 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of $1.0165 to $1.19 with a final weighted average of $1.1115 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is firm to steady and the live supply is adequate to short for a very good to good and normal demand. Average weights are desirable. Estimated slaughter for Monday was 4,044,100 head. This compares with 4,728,100 head last Monday.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $2.38 (based on 1,951,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $2.16 (based on 8,030,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.30 (based on 1,818,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.43 (based on 1,611,000 lbs.); thighs 77.00 (based on 1,327,000 lbs.); drumsticks 68.50 (based on 2,152,000 lbs.); leg quarters 55.50 (based on 9,324,000 lbs.); and wings $1.3250 (based on 3,813,000 lbs.). Demand on line run tenders and whole breasts is good to very good, mostly good, occasionally normal; demand on skinless boneless breasts is very good to good, mostly very good, occasionally normal; demand on boneless skinless thigh meat is good; and demand on thighs, drumsticks, leg quarters, and wings is good to normal, mostly good.

The market tone for next week's trading is firm to steady and the live supply is adequate to short for a very good to good and normal demand. Average weights are desirable with a mostly firm price trend. Estimated slaughter today is 4,753,400 head. This compares with 4,745,700 head last Tuesday.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on parts were: line run tenders $2.38; skinless boneless breasts $2.16 whole breasts $1.30; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.43; thighs 77.00; drumsticks 68.50; leg quarters 55.50; and wings $1.3250. Cooler inventories and supplies on all parts are balanced to light to occasionally heavy with a mostly good, occasionally balanced to very good, demand. Price trend on all parts is mostly lower to higher, occasionally steady, firm, and weak.

The market is firm to steady, and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable. Estimated slaughter today is 4,794,900 head. This compares with 4,499,700 head last Wednesday.
The f.o.b. dock quoted prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for next week's trading are: line run tenders $2.43; skinless boneless breasts $2.2050; whole breasts $1.2950; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.4650; thighs 74.50; drumsticks 66.00; leg quarters 55.00 and wings $1.3250. Demand on line run tenders and whole breasts is good to very good, mostly good, occasionally normal; demand on skinless boneless breasts is very good to good, mostly very good, occasionally normal; demand on boneless skinless thigh meat is good; and demand on thighs, drumsticks, leg quarters, and wings is good to normal, mostly good.

The market is firm to steady, and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable. Estimated slaughter today is 4,787,400 head. This compares with 4,702,500 head last Thursday.

Estimated hen slaughter for the week ending today is 206,722 head.
Estimated total slaughter for the week ending today for broilers and fryers is 23,105,600 head. This compares with 19,658,400 head of broilers and fryers for the corresponding week a year ago.
