The Georgia Department of Agriculture was closed yesterday. Here is the Final Weighted Average Report that is normally issued on Monday.
The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.08 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. 100% (representing 1,003 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 91.65 to $1.1531 with a final weighted average of $1.0830 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is firm to steady and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable to a little light. Estimated slaughter for Monday was 4,703,100 head. This compares with 4,713,200 head last Monday.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $2.3050 (based on 1,717,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $2.10 (based on 7,517,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.18 (based on 1,707,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.4450 (based on 1,251,000 lbs.); thighs 76.00 (based on 1,327,000 lbs.); drumsticks 75.50 (based on 1,347,000 lbs.); leg quarters 55.00 (based on 9,349,000 lbs.); and wings $1.36 (based on 3,483,000 lbs.). Demand on line run tenders is good to very good, occasionally normal; demand on skinless boneless breasts is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally very good; demand on whole breasts, thighs, and leg quarters is good to normal, mostly good; demand on boneless skinless thigh meat is mostly good, occasionally very good to normal; demand on drumsticks is good to normal; and demand wings is normal to good, mostly normal.

The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.08. The final weighted average was $1.0830 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market tone for next week's trading is firm to steady and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable to a little light with a mostly steady price trend. Estimated slaughter today is 4,645,700 head. This compares with 4,704,400 head last Tuesday.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on parts were: line run tenders $2.3050; skinless boneless breasts $2.10 whole breasts $1.18; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.4450; thighs 76.00; drumsticks 75.50; leg quarters 55.00; and wings $1.36. Cooler inventories and supplies on all parts are balanced to occasionally light and heavy with a mostly good to balanced, occasionally very good demand. Price trend on all parts is mostly lower to higher, occasionally weak, steady and firm.

30 APRIL 2014 WEDNESDAY The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for next week's trading advanced .25 to $1.0825 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. The market is firm to steady, and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable to a little light. Estimated slaughter today is 4,686,100 head. This compares with 4,711,800 head last Wednesday.
The f.o.b. dock quoted prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for next week's trading are: line run tenders $2.33; skinless boneless breasts $2.04; whole breasts $1.1650; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.45; thighs 71.00; drumsticks 62.00; leg quarters 54.50 and wings $1.34. Demand on line run tenders is very good to good, occasionally normal; demand on skinless boneless breasts and boneless skinless thigh meat is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally very good; demand on whole breasts, thighs, drumsticks and leg quarters is good to normal, mostly good; and demand on wings is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally light.

The market is firm to steady, and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable to a little light. Estimated slaughter today is 4,742,600 head. This compares with 4,746,900 head last Thursday.

The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.0825 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. 87% (representing 876 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 99.00 to $1.12 with a preliminary weighted average of $1.0816 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is firm to steady, and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable to a little light. Estimated slaughter today and Saturday is 4,628,900 head. This compares with 4,624,000 head last Friday.

Demand on line run tenders is good to very good, mostly good, occasionally normal; demand on skinless boneless breasts, whole breasts, boneless skinless thigh meat, thighs, drumsticks and leg quarters is good to normal, mostly good; and demand on wings is normal to good, mostly normal, occasionally light.
Estimated hen slaughter for the week ending today is 195,060 head. Estimated hen slaughter for the corresponding week a year ago was 268,565 head.
Estimated total slaughter for the week ending today for broilers and fryers is 23,406,400 head. This compares with 23,059,000 head of broilers and fryers for the corresponding week a year ago.
