The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.06 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. 100% (representing 1,002 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 91.65 to $1.118 with a final weighted average of $1.0599 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is firm to steady and the live supply is adequate to short for good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable to occasionally light. Estimated slaughter today is 4,752,100 head. This compares with 4,507,300 head last Monday.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $2.08 (based on 1,804,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $2.01 (based on 7,569,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.09 (based on 1,879,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.45 (based on 1,251,000 lbs.); thighs 74.00 (based on 1,327,000 lbs.); drumsticks 73.00 (based on 1,347,000 lbs.); leg quarters 53.00 (based on 9,379,000 lbs.); and wings $1.36 (based on 3,483,000 lbs.). Demand on most parts is good to normal, mostly good; with the exception of line run tenders which is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally very good.

The market tone for next week's trading is firm to steady and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable to occasionally light with a mostly firm to steady and weak price trend. Estimated slaughter today is 4,725,500 head. This compares with 4,735,200 head last Tuesday.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on parts were: line run tenders $2.08; skinless boneless breasts $2.01 whole breasts $1.09; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.45; thighs 74.00; drumsticks 73.00; leg quarters 53.00; and wings $1.36. Cooler inventories and supplies on all parts are balanced to light with a demand ranging balanced to good, occasionally light to very good. Price trend on all parts is mostly lower to higher, occasionally steady and firm.
2 APRIL 2014 WEDNESDAY The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for next week's trading advanced .25 to $1.0625 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. The market is steady to firm, and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable to occasionally light. Estimated slaughter today is 4,720,800 head. This compares with 4,475,100 head last Wednesday.
The f.o.b. dock quoted prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for next week's trading are: line run tenders $2.1150; skinless boneless breasts $1.97; whole breasts $1.08; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.4450; thighs 69.50; drumsticks 63.50; leg quarters 52.50 and wings $1.3650. Demand on most parts is good to normal, mostly good with the exception of skinless boneless breasts which is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally very good.

The market is firm to steady, and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable to a little light. Estimated slaughter today is 4,717,600 head. Demand on all most parts is good to normal, mostly good; with the exceptions of line run tenders which is good to very good, occasionally normal; skinless boneless breasts which is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally very good; and boneless skinless thigh meat which is good.
Estimated hen slaughter for the week ending today is 130,024 head. Estimated hen slaughter for the corresponding week a year ago was 246,509 head.
Estimated total slaughter for the week ending today for broilers and fryers is 23,605,900 head. This compares with 22,867,000 head of broilers and fryers for the corresponding week a year ago.
