The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.0225 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. 100% (representing 1,003 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 94.97 to $1.1104 with a final weighted average of $1.0228 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is steady to firm, mostly steady and the live supply is adequate for a normal to good, occasionally very good, demand. Average weights are desirable. Estimated slaughter today is 4,677,800 head. This compares with 4,415,300 head last Monday.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $1.89 (based on 1,741,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $1.7450 (based on 7,222,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.1150 (based on 1,454,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.4250 (based on 1,166,000 lbs.); thighs 74.00 (based on 1,327,000 lbs.); drumsticks 73.00 (based on 1,357,000 lbs.); leg quarters 55.50 (based on 9,374,000 lbs.); and wings $1.7350 (based on 3,783,000 lbs.). Demand on most parts is good to normal, mostly good with the exceptions of line run tenders which is good to normal, occasionally very good; boneless skinless thigh meat which is good; leg quarters is normal to good, mostly normal: and wings which is normal to light, occasionally good.
9 APRIL 2013 TUESDAY The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.0225. The final weighted average was $1.0228 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market tone for next week's trading is steady to firm and the live supply is adequate for a normal to very good demand. Average weights are desirable with a mostly steady to firm price trend. Estimated slaughter today is 4,593,600 head. Estimated slaughter last Tuesday was 4,686,000 head.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on parts were: line run tenders $1.89; skinless boneless breasts $1.7450; whole breasts $1.1150; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.4250; thighs 74.00; drumsticks 73.00; leg quarters 55.50; and wings $1.7350. Cooler inventories and supplies on all parts are mostly balanced but are light in a few instances; with a demand ranging good to balanced, occasionally very good to light. Price trend on all parts is mostly lower to higher.
10 APRIL 2013 WEDNESDAY The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for next week's trading advanced .25 to $1.0250 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. The market is firm to steady and the live supply is adequate to occasionally short for a normal to good, mostly very good, demand. Average weights are desirable. Estimated slaughter today is 4,576,900 head. This compares with 4,499,400 head last Wednesday.
The f.o.b. dock quoted prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for next week's trading are: line run tenders $1.9050; skinless boneless breasts $1.7350; whole breasts $1.11; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.40; thighs 72.00; drumsticks 64.50; leg quarters 56.00 and wings $1.6150. Demand on line run tenders and skinless boneless breasts is good to normal, occasionally very good; whole breasts is normal to good, mostly normal; boneless skinless thigh meat and leg quarters is good to normal, mostly good; thighs and drumsticks is good to very good, occasionally normal; and wings is normal to light, mostly normal, occasionally good.
