The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.02 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. 100% (representing 1,001 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 94.94 to $1.1034 with a final weighted average of $1.0206 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is steady to firm, mostly steady and the live supply is adequate for a normal to good, occasionally very good, demand. Average weights are desirable but are heavier than desired in a few instances. Estimated slaughter today is 4,415,300 head. This compares with 4,317,400 head last Monday.

The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $1.8750 (based on 1,669,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $1.75 (based on 7,222,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.1150 (based on 1,382,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.40 (based on 1,166,000 lbs.); thighs 73.50 (based on 1,327,000 lbs.); drumsticks 70.50 (based on 1,357,000 lbs.); leg quarters 55.00 (based on 9,374,000 lbs.); and wings $1.75 (based on 3,783,000 lbs.). Demand on most parts is normal to good, mostly good with the exceptions of line run tenders which is normal to good, occasionally very good; boneless skinless thigh meat which is good to very good; and wings which is normal to good, occasionally light.
2 APRIL 2013 TUESDAY The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.02. The final weighted average was $1.0206 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market tone for next week's trading is steady to firm and the live supply is adequate for a very good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable with a mostly steady price trend. Estimated slaughter today is 4,686,000 head. Estimated slaughter last Tuesday was 4,692,700 head.

The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on parts were: line run tenders $1.8750; skinless boneless breasts $1.75; whole breasts $1.1150; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.40; thighs 73.50; drumsticks 70.50; leg quarters 55.00; and wings $1.75. Cooler inventories and supplies on all parts are mostly balanced but are heavy and light in a few instances; with a demand ranging balanced to good, occasionally light to very good. Price trend on all parts is mostly lower to higher.

3 APRIL 2013 WEDNESDAY The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for next week's trading advanced .25 to $1.0225 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. The market is steady to firm and the live supply is adequate to occasionally short for a normal to good, mostly very good, demand. Average weights are heavier and lighter than desired in a few instances but are mostly desirable. Estimated slaughter today is 4,499,400 head. This compares with 4,541,400 head last Wednesday.

The f.o.b. dock quoted prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for next week's trading are: line run tenders $1.80; skinless boneless breasts $1.7250; whole breasts $1.1150; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.40; thighs 71.50; drumsticks 62.50; leg quarters 55.00 and wings $1.7250. Demand on line run tenders and skinless boneless breasts is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally very good; boneless skinless thigh meat is good; whole breasts, drumsticks and thighs is good to normal, mostly good; leg quarters is normal to good, mostly normal; and wings is light to good, mostly normal.

This compares with 4,716,500 head last Thursday.

The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.0225 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. 88% (representing 887 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 98.50 to $1.1104 with a preliminary weighted average of $1.0230 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is firm to steady and the live supply is adequate for a normal to very good demand. Average weights are desirable. Estimated slaughter today is 4,571,000 head. This compares with 4,471,200 head last Friday.

Demand on line run tenders, skinless boneless breasts and whole breasts is good to normal, mostly good; boneless skinless thigh meat and drumsticks is mostly good to normal; leg quarters and thighs is normal to good, mostly normal; and wings is mostly light to normal.
Estimated hen slaughter for the week ending today is 246,509 head. Estimated hen slaughter for the corresponding week a year ago was 263,100 head.
