The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.0150 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2~ to 3 pound birds. 100% (representing 1,000 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 94.91 to $1.0763 with a final weighted average of $1.0169 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is steady to firm and the live supply is adequate for a very good to normal demand. Average weights are mostly desirable but are heavier than desired in a few instances. Estimated slaughter today is 4,747,900 head. This compares with 4,705,600 head last Monday.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $1.8550 (based on 1,669,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $1.68 (based on 7,222,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.10 (based on 1,382,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.37 (based on 1,166,000 lbs.); thighs 72.00 (based on 1,327,000 lbs.); drumsticks 72.50 (based on 1,357,000 lbs.); leg quarters 55.00 (based on 9,374,000 lbs.); and wings $1.7850 (based on 3,783,000 lbs.). Demand on most parts is good to normal, mostly good with the exceptions of line run tenders which is good to very good, mostly normal; boneless skinless thigh meat which is very good to normal, mostly good; and leg quarters and wings which is normal to good, mostly normal.

The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.0150. The final weighted average was $1.0169 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market tone for next week's trading is steady to firm and the live supply is adequate for a normal to very good demand. Average weights are mostly desirable but are heavier than desired in a few instances with a mostly steady price trend. Estimated slaughter today is 4,711,000 head. Estimated slaughter last Tuesday was 4,476,100 head.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on parts were: line run tenders $1.8550; skinless boneless breasts $1.68; whole breasts $1.10; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.37; thighs 72.00; drumsticks 72.50; leg quarters 55.00; and wings $1.7850. Cooler inventories and supplies on all parts are mostly balanced; with a demand ranging good to balanced; occasionally very good. Price trend on all parts is mostly higher to lower.
20 MARCH 2013 WEDNESDAY The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for next week's trading advanced .25 to $1.0175 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2~ to 3 pound birds. The market is steady to firm and the live supply is adequate for a normal to good, mostly very good, demand. Average weights are mostly desirable but are heavier than desired in a few instances. Estimated slaughter today is 4,485,000 head. This compares with 4,638,400 head last Wednesday.
The f.o.b. dock quoted prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for next week's trading are: line run tenders $1.82; skinless boneless breasts $1.6850; whole breasts $1.11; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.39; thighs 72.50; drumsticks 64.50; leg quarters 55.00 and wings $1.78. Demand on line run tenders, thighs, leg quarters and wings is normal to good, mostly normal. Demand on skinless boneless breasts, whole breasts, boneless skinless thigh meat and drumsticks is good to nornial, mostly good.
