The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.0125 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. 100% (representing 1,006 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 98.19 to $1.0763 with a final weighted average of $1.0157 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is firm to steady and the live supply is adequate for a very good to normal demand. Average weights are mostly desirable but are heavier than desired in a few instances. Estimated slaughter today is 4,705,600 head. This compares with 4,598,500 head last Monday.

The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $1.8150 (based on 1,669,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $1.6350 (based on 7,222,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.0950 (based on 1,418,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.3650 (based on 1,231,000 lbs.); thighs 72.50 (based on 1,327,000 lbs.); drumsticks 64.50 (based on 1,357,000 lbs.); leg quarters 54.00 (based on 9,374,000 lbs.); and wings $1.79 (based on 3,783,000 lbs.). Demand on most parts is good to normal, mostly good with the exceptions of line run tenders and leg quarters which is normal to good, mostly normal; and wings which is good to light, mostly normal.

12 MARCH 2013 TUESDAY
The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.01.25. The final weighted average was $1.0157 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market tone for next week's trading is firm to steady and the live supply is adequate for a very good to normal demand. Average weights are mostly desirable but are heavier than desired in a few instances with a mostly steady price trend. Estimated slaughter today is 4,476,100 head. Estimated slaughter last Tuesday was 4,631,300 head.

The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on parts were: line run tenders $1.8150; skinless boneless breasts $1.6350; whole breasts $1.0950; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.3650; thighs 72.50; drumsticks 64.50; leg quarters 54.00; and wings $1.79. Cooler inventories and supplies on all parts are mostly balanced; with a demand ranging balanced to good; occasionally light. Price trend on all parts is mostly lower to higher.

13 MARCH 2013 WEDNESDAY The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for next week's trading advanced .25 to $1.0150 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds. The market is steady to firm and the live supply is adequate for a mostly good to normal, occasionally very good demand. Average weights are mostly desirable but are heavier than desired in a few instances. Estimated slaughter today is 4,638,400 head. This compares with 4,718,500 head last Wednesday.

The f.o.b. dock quoted prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for next week's trading are: line run tenders $1.82; skinless boneless breasts $1.6450; whole breasts $1.10; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.3750; thighs 72.50; drumsticks 64.50; leg quarters 54.50 and wings $1.7950. Demand on most parts is good to normal, mostly good with the exceptions of line run tenders and leg quarters which is normal to good, mostly normal; and wings which is good to light, mostly normal.

The market is steady to firm and the live supply is adequate for a mostly good to normal to occasionally very good demand. Average weights are mostly desirable. The market is steady to firm and the live supply is adequate for a mostly good to normal, occasionally very good demand. Average weights are mostly desirable. Estimated slaughter today and Saturday is 4,809,400 head. This compares with 4,630,100 head last Friday.

Demand on most parts is good to normal, mostly good with the exceptions of line run tenders which is good to very good, mostly normal; boneless skinless thigh meat which is very good to normal, mostly good; and leg quarters and wings which is normal to good, mostly normal.
Estimated hen slaughter for the week ending today and Saturday is 230,300 head. Estimated hen slaughter for the corresponding week a year ago was 187,600 head.
