The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is 93.25. 98% (representing 968 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 80.00 to 96.74 with a final weighted average of 92.02 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market tone for next week's trading is unchanged and live supply is generally adequate for a good to occasionally light, mostly normal demand. Average weights are desirable with a steady price trend. Estimated slaughter today and the Monday Confederate Memorial Day holiday is 9,156,700 head. This compares with 4,363,700 head last Tuesday.

The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on parts were: line run tenders $2.0850 (based on 1,700,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $1.5950 (based on 7,468,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.01 (based on 1,460,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.3150 (based on 1,216,000 lbs.); thighs 73.00 (based on 1,102,000 lbs.); drumsticks 73.50 (based on 1,272,000 lbs.); leg quarters 54.00 (based on 9,496,000 lbs.); and wings $1.87 (based on 3,715,000 lbs.). Cooler inventories and supplies on all parts are mostly balanced. Price trend on line run tenders, skinless boneless breasts, leg quarters and wings ranges weak to firm, mostly steady; while the price trend on whole breasts, boneless skinless thigh meat, thighs and drumsticks is firm.

25 APRIL 2012 WEDNESDAY The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for next week's trading remains unchanged at 93.25 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2Yz to 3 pound birds. The market is steady and the live supply is adequate td occasionally short for a demand ranging mostly normal. Average weights are desirable. Estimated slaughter today is 4,588,100 head. This compares with 4,583,400 head last Wednesday.

The f.o.b. dock quoted prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for next week's trading are: line run tenders $2.0650; skinless boneless breasts $1.5750; whole breasts $1.02; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.3650; thighs 74.00; drumsticks 68.00; leg quarters 54.00; and wings $1.8550. Demand on line run tenders, skinless boneless breasts, whole breasts, boneless skinless thigh meat and drumsticks is good to normal; thighs and leg quarters is normal to good; while the demand on wings ranges normal to occasionally light, mostly normal.

The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is 93.25 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2Yz to 3 pound birds. 57% (representing 558 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 86.99 to 99.79 with a preliminary weighted average of 92.74 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is steady and the live supply is generally adequate for a normal to occasionally good, mostly normal demand. Average weights are desirable. Estimated slaughter today is 4,586,100 head. This compares with 4,591,500 head last Thursday.

The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is 93.25 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2~ to 3 pound birds. 74% (representing 729 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 86.99 to 99.79 with a preliminary weighted average of 92.77 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is moderate and the live supply is adequate to short for a demand ranging normal to good. Average weights are ranging generally desirable. Estimated slaughter today is 4,658,300 head. This compares with 4,595,400 head last Friday.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed preliminary weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $2.0950 (based on 955,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $1.60 (based on 4,338,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.0250 (based on 891,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.35 (based on 750,000 lbs.); thighs 75.00 (based on 737,000 lbs.); drumsticks 73.50 (based on 729,000 lbs.); leg quarters 54.00 (based on 5,243,000 lbs.); and wings $1.83 (based on 2,130,000 lbs.). Demand on line run tenders, skinless boneless breasts, whole breasts, boneless skinless thigh meat, thighs and drumsticks ranges good to normal; leg quarters is normal to good; while the demand on wings is mostly normal.
Trading on heavy breeder type hens was balanced to good. The market undertone is mostly unchanged with offerings adequate for full trade needs. Estimated hen slaughter for the week ending today is 296, 100 head. This compares with 268,300 head the same time a year ago.
*Estimated total slaughter for the week ending today for broilers and fryers is 22,989,200 head. This compares with 24,021,900 head of broilers and fryers for the corresponding week a year ago.
