Estimated slaughter today is 4,705,600 head. This compares with 4,673,500 head last Thursday.

Trading on heavy breeder type hens was balanced to good. The market undertone continues slightly higher with offerings adequate for trade needs. Estimated hen slaughter for the week ending today is 307,200 head. This compares with 215,900 head the same time a year ago.
