ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2% to 3 pound birds. 70% (representing 699 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed

withn a range of 83.79$ to 96.53$ with a preliminary weighted average of 86.73$ f.0.b. dock or equivalent. The market is

fully moderate and the live supply is adequate for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable to lighter than

desired in a few instances. Estimated slaughter today and Saturday is 5,074,100 head. T h s compares with 5,108,600 head

last weekend.

The f.0.b. dock confirmed preliminary weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line mn tenders $1.90 (based on 1,173,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $1.4850 (based on

5,065,000 lbs.); whole breasts 88.50$ (based on 1,104,000 lbs.); boneless slunless thigh meat $1.28$ (based on 958,000 lbs.);

thighs 67.50$ (based on 742,000 lbs.); drumsticks 66.50$ (based on 784,000 lbs.); leg quarters 49.50$ (based on 7,050,000

lbs.); and wings 75.50$ (based on 2,610,000 lbs.). Demand on line run tenders, whole breasts, boneless skinless thigh meat

and wings is mostly normal; skinless boneless breasts ranges normal to light, mostly normal; thighs is good; while the

demand on drumsticks and leg quarters is good to normal.

Trading on heavy breeder type hens was good to balanced. The market undertone is slightly higher with offerings adequate for full trade needs. Estimated hen slaughter for the week ending today is 363,900 head. This compares with 202,200 head the same time a year ago.
