The market continues moderate and the live supply is mostly adequate for a normal to good, mostly normal demand. Average weights are mostly desirable. Estimated slaughter today and Saturday is 3,939,400 head. This compares with 3,975,600 head last weekend.
The f.o.b. dock confirmed preliminary weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: skinless boneless breasts $1.71 (based on 1,413,000 lbs.); whole breasts 76.50 (based on 2,427,000 lbs.); leg quarters 26.00 (based on 6,188,000 lbs.); and wings 56.00 (based on 1,335,000 lbs.).
