The Pecan Festival of Georgia

The Pecan Festival of Georgia is a celebration of one of Georgia's signature crops and agriculture through our entire state. Travelers in the fall can enjoy family friendly activities and events for enthusiasts of all ages such as a classic car show, mechanical bull, inflatables, a children's train, games, live music, dancers, entertainment, arts & crafts and wonderful food. A highlight of the festival will be the Georgia State Pecan Pie contest, which invites participants to showcase their best version of the classic Southern dessert. All proceeds from the event are given to a wide variety of charities and is sponsored by The Exchange Club of Blackshear. Join the celebration!

The Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) and Peanut and Tree Nut Processors Association (PTNPA) have provided a updated guidance on the processing of nuts for industry and how to comply with the new regulation. The guidance is a free resource and provides information on how to establish and implement a Food Safety Plan.
