using good Georgia peaches

QUICK FRUIT COBBLER
Prepare by using the following ingredients: Melt 1 stick of Oleo in an average size dish. Add 1 cup of sweet milk to 1 cup self-rising flour and 1 cup sugar Mix these 3 ingredients thoroughly and add to the melted Oleo. Add 4 cups of sliced peaches and bake at 375 degree for approximately 40 minutes or until browning is noted. This is excellent served while warm. For extra flavor,
top with whipped or vanilla ice cream. NOTE: Canned or frozen fruit may be substituted for fresh. If
plain flour is used, add two teaspoons Baking Powder.
PEACH SALAD WITH CREAM MAYONNAISE
Mix together diced canned pineapple, fresh peaches and celery, blanched almonds and Cream Mayonnaise; serve tn lettuce cups. Cream Mayonnaise:
Fold mayonnaise into % cup heavy cream, whipped. Serve with fruit or vegetable salads. (Approximate yield) % cup dressing.

PEACH ICE CREAM

1 cup milk % cup sugar 2 fablespoons flour Few grains salt

2 egg yolks Vs teaspoon almond extract
1 cup thin cream 3 or 4 large ripe peaches

Scald the milk, mix the sugar, flour, and salt; stir in scalded milk to make a mixture which will pour readily; add to the remainder of the milk in the top of a double boiler. Stir until the mixture has thickened; cover and cook 10 minutes. Beat the egg yolks slightly; stir in a little of the thickened milk; return to double boiler; cook one minute. Cool; add cream and flavoring. Strain if the mixture is not perfectly smooth. Begin to churn ice cream. Pare, slice and crush peaches with a potato masher; (there should be one cup). Add peaches to the mixture when it begins to become mushy. Serves six.
GRILLED PEACHES 'N BERRIES
Select three large ripe peaches. Wash, pare, and halve. Remove pit. Place each peach half on a double thickness of heavy-duty aluminum foil. Fill each generously with fresh or frozen blueberries. Sprinkle with two teaspoons brown sugar and one teaspoon fresh lemon juice. Wrap securely. Cook on grill 18-20 minutes or on briquets 10-15 minutes, turning once. (Serve one--half per person.)
