LIVECAT
CoM-e/Jirat'uAq, co^tem platl^; How do t beglw to describe such a magmflcewt spec.Lm.jiA,?
Meditating, elevating; to me these words HF spoke, "Perhaps the most magnificent specimen created Ls the live oak.'
Its' genesisju s t Like ours, bom, from a tlwy little seed. With the proper nutrients, a sprout Ls formed, A miraculous process Indeed.
its' early stages gulte delicate; m any falls, bumps, and bruises during these years. With persistence and determination It grows because It has not yet come to know fear.
The years pass, the roots get deeper, the oak gets more rigid. Storms, floods, nor draughts can penetrate.
Blessed with the gift of fertility, It births a seed and branches begin to generate, each branch born with Its' mother's traits, characteristics, and features. Then, those branches grow branches, upward toward Heaven; stead ily striving to reach h e r . even the branch produces a stem, the stem produces a leaf, then a seed, Which, again, starts a whole new creation; live oaks that will continue to give life for future generations.
As the decades pass, the live oak continues to grow and get strong. A t the same time, providing a place for other creatures, big and small, to call home.
And If th at live oak could ta lk --oh the stories It would tell o f the great people who have passed, the struggles that were fought,
And how It somehow always prevailed.
Each one who thinks of that tree, has their own special memory that burns on like an iyiferM.
For she Is blessed with that special gift of Life. Life that Is eternal!
