** O B I T U A R Y **
A Beautiful Life ended when God visited this wonderful garden on earth and plucked one of his Roses to decorate his flower garden in Heaven, Lizzie was a chosen one.
Mrs. Lizzie Wilson was born in Edgefield, S C\, September 1, J 901 to late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Cohen. She was converted and baptized in the year of 1912 at Spring Grove Baptist Church of Edgefield, S. C., under the leadership of the late Rev. A. W. Vin cent where she served faithfully. She later moved to Augusta, Ga. in the year of 1922 and 1924 she continued her religious faith with Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Lou Adams, she joined the Usher Board in the year of 1928 in 1933 she made Asst. Chief, and in 1944 she became Chief of the board where she served her church and board diligently until her health began to fail her. Later she had to move to Washington, D. C. to be with her son and daughter-in-law.
Mrs. Lizzie Wilson was united in holy matrimony in the year of 1919 to the late Mr. Ephlher Wilson and to this union four children were born of which two survived her. Sis. Wilson war loved by all who knew her and will be missed by many.
In her passing she leaves to mourn a devoted son, Mr. Webb V/ibon of Washington, D. C.; a devoted daughter, Mrs. Willie Mae Butler of Washington, D. C.; two brothers, Mr. Peter Cohen, Phila., Pa., Mr. Lee Cohen of Washington, D. C.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Sullivan, Toledo, Ohio, Mrs. Hannah Jones, New York and Mrs. Leola Butler, Washington, D. C.; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lois Wilson of Washington, D. C.; one son-in-law, Mr. Shm Butler, Washington, D. C.; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
Servant of God well done, rest from thy love employed The battle is fought the victory is won. Enter thou Master's Joy.
