S^7r. ^M arion t7 oy, p )r., entered into rest on Monday, March 8, 1999. He was born to the late Marion Toy, Sr. and the late Amy Thomas Toy on February 13, 1924, in Richmond County.
At an early age, lie joined the Gardner Grove Baptist Church, where he served on the Trustee Board, Senior Choir and Usher Board. He was chairman of the Building Committee.
Trustee Marion Toy, Jr. was a veteran of World War II and a retired employee o f the Veterans Administrative Hospital after 35 years o f service.
He is survived by: his wife, lola Burgess Toy; three children, Marion Toy, III, Frances Toy Jackson and Theodore M. Toy; two daughters-in-law, Gloria D. Toy and Aletha W. Toy; one son-in-law, Rev. Willie Jackson; ten grandchildren, Steve M. Toy, Angela Lewis, Deborah Dazvson, James Stone, Jr., Tasha Toy, Terry Jackson, Rachel N. Toy, Theodore M. Toy, Jr., Andrew M. Toy and Amber Toy; nineteen great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Estell L. Burgess; one aunt, Annie Bell Thomas; four brothers-in-lazo, Roosevelt Burgess, George Burgess, Herbert Burgess and Louis Carter; four sisters-in-law, Ottis Mae Carter, Helen Burgess, Evelyn Burgess and Annie Eva Williams; devoted cousins, Mrs. Willie Mae Terry and Air. Marion Terry, Atlantic City, NJ; cousin, Little Frances Terry; and other relatives and friends.
