O tfi/uaiy
ANNIE BERTHA SULLIVAN was bom March 24, 1929 in Edgefield, South Carolina to the late Dennis and Mary Ella Lee Sullivan as the youngest offive children. She was educated in the public schools of Edgefield County, South Carolina and Richmond County, Georgia. In 1942, she was baptized and united with Spring Grove Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. J.W. West.
"I Don't Mind Kneeling"
Sis. Sullivan worked in many capacities. She was employed by several families in the North Augusta area and loyally served the staffs of Posey and Rowland Funeral Homes in North Augusta for many years. Even while workingfor others, Sis. Sullivan demonstrated her nursing nature by caring for family members during times of long illnesses.
Singing and serving in the church were special joys o f Sis. Sullivan. She began singing in the choir shortly after joining the "wooden, white church" and faithfully served for over 50 years until her health prevented her participation. Many witnessed Sis. Sullivan's service while she diligently served as head of the church's kitchen committee for more than a decade. Service marked her journey again as she performed cleaning servicesfor the church with her sister, Rosa, for many years.
"I'm Moving Up Zion Hill"
On January 3, 2010, God called Sis. Sullivan to move up Zion Hill. Her memories are cherished by: her sister, Rosa Green, North Augusta, SC; her brothers, Roosevelt (Verdell) Sullivan, Robert, John and Joe Curry, North Augusta, SC; two special nephews, Ricky (Sharon) Anderson and Brannon Kennedy; two godsons, Levert Sullivan and Marshall Wise; one goddaughter, Catrina Anderson; one brother-in-law, Samuel Cook, North Augusta, SC; eight nieces and twelve nephews; fifty-six great nieces and nephews; thirty great-great nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
"King of Glory"
Today "Aunt Bert" can say with certainty a song she sang while here on earth: "I'll forever praise You, Lamb of God, for you came and touched me with your healing rod." For now she isforever healed, forever whole, forever praising.
"And God shall wipe away all tearsfrom their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, 'Behold, I make all things new...for these words arefaithfid and true."' ~ Revelations 21:4-5

There's a place I've never seen beyond this world we know. A place I've only heard of but someday hope to go -
It's not on any map there are no roads to take me there. But it's a place of perfect peace where hearts are free from care. And though I understand some may be saddended when I leave,
one day we all will meet again - that's what I believe ... When it's time to travel there, I think I'll wear a smile,
I'll say good-bye to those I love, but only for awhile, knowing there are others who have traveled there alone who cannot wait to greet me and to whisper "welcomehome."
We are deeply grateful to each of you for the many expressions of love, sympathy and concern shown during this most difficult time. There are no words sufficient to express our gratitude. We pray God's blessings upon you and we ask that you will continue to keep us in your prayers. ~ The Family
