Roxianna Izetta Leona " Bootsie" Allen Ryans was born to Joshua and Roxianna Allen on December 20, 1911, in Harlem, Georgia. She was the youngest of twelve children' all preceded her in death, She was married to the late Norman Ryans, Sr.

She was a devoted and faithful member of the Beulah Grove B a p tist Church for eighty-one years., and served on the Senior Choir. She received her education a t the Walker B a p tis t School, and the public school system. Roxianna worked as a beautician for fifty - years, and a housekeeper.

In addition to her husband, Roxianna was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Ann Tankersley.

Roxianna departed th is life on December 16, 2 0 0 3 , and is survived by three devoted, loving children: Dolores G. (Johnnie) G a rre tt, Norman (Louise) Ryans, Jr., and Carolyn McDuffie, all of Augusta, Georgia; twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, twenty-four great-great grandchildren, four nieces, Beulah Mills, Detroit, Michigan, Annie Bell Tubman, Willette (Ronald) Cunningham, and Ruth Lorraine Jones, all of Augusta; one nephew, Alphonso Allen, Augusta, Georgia; and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews, friends, and church members.
