Mr. Harvey McCord, Sr., was born August 11,

1895 in Lincolnton, Georgia, to the late Mr. &

Mrs. John McCordi and departed this life on

December l5> 197J4-*

i

At an early age he joined Kt. Zion Baptist

Church in Lincolnton and served there faithfully

until his health failed him. He served as sexton

of the church and as the Sunday School Choir Leado

for a number of years.

EG was a Veteran of World War 1, having served

his country for two years in the United States

Army.



Koveiaber 1J^-, 1920, he was united in Holy

Matriiaony to the for.ner Miss* Estella Bcnnett.

He leaves to nourn his passing, a devoted

wife, Mrs. Estella B. McCord, seven-daughters,

Mrs. Victoria licMorris of Baltiaoro, Md., Mrs.

Robena Vanco, Hiss. Geneva McCord; and Miss.

Margaret Sullivan of Augusta, Ga., Miss. Hattio !i
