We Do Not Say Goodbye
We do not day good-bye who come to mourn, The tears we cry are reallyfo r you.
We are the lonely, we are sad, forlorn F or when you died a part o f us died too.
It is fo r us the living to endure The aching p ain your passing left behind;
Your happiness isfin a lly secure, You ha\'e the p eace which none o f us can find. The reason you were chosen can't be known.
We would have kept you longer i f we could, But G od called you unto H is very own,
H e surely must have thought that you were good, While m issing you w ill make like incomplete, The memory o f your presence w ill not die, A nd since some happy day again we'll meet, A s you proceed we do not say good-bye.
