Reflections of Jeremy's life

Jeremy Bernard Jones w as bom on April 15,1987 at University Hospital In Augusta, Georgia to Debra Jones and Willie Javarous Stallings. He attended W. T,Johnson Day Care, Silas X. Floyd Head Start, C T. Walker M agnet School, The Summer Pre-College Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) at Paine College in 2004, He graduated from A, R. Johnson Health Science Engineering High School in 2005. W hile attending these schools, he received many academic honors. Jeremy had several opportunities to go off to college but he chose to stay home to help his mother and grandmother. He also felt like he w as Hie man o f the house. He decided to enroJMn Paine College and majored in biology.
He w as a dedicate! member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He did community service and other activities for his fraternity and his church. He was an eager person, always looking for another challenge. He later transferred to Augusta State University where he w as a senior majoring in biology (nursing) to later become a nurse anesthetist.
He was recently employed by Electrolux as a customer service representative. He also worked at Dr. Louvenia Rainge's office as a dental assistant. Artsy's and Chide Fil-A restaurants.
He w as a member of Beulah Grove Baptist Church but changed his membership to Tabernade Baptist Church about three weeks prior to his departure from earth.
Even though his father w as absent horn his life, he still received guidance from his undes John Jones "U nde Tommy" and Bernard Jones "U nde Hard", Bruce Yancy "U nde Bruce" and Harold Vaughn "U nde Harold". He w as taught to be a good hard-working man.
His proudest moment was when his godson Zakai Cobb was born. Zakai was Jeremy's greatest joy! Zakai and his mother Va'M Iiati Cobb truly loved Jeremy as much as his family! This is not a rime to mourn Jeremy's death, but to celebrate his life,
He w as his m other's only child but he chose his cousins Honda Overton, Felicia Hammond, Whitney Jones, Krisna Johnson, and Amber Yancy as his sisters and Gregory Jones, Michael Jones, and Anthony McCain as his brothers. He considered Shania Jones as his niece. He was named "Jay" by his Auntie Carol". The entire family affectionately called him "BIG JAY"I
He w as preceded in death by his Grandfather, John H. Jones and his cousin and fraternity brother, Gerald Gliphant. He leaves to mourn his mother; Debra Jones, father; Willie Javarous Stallings, devoted grandmother; Mildred Jones, devoted aunts; Maxine "Auntie Sue (Harold) Vaughn, Betty "Auntie Betty" Jones, and Caro! "Auntie Carol" Yancy (Bruce). Devoted undes; John (Kathy) Jones and Bernard (Mary) Jones. Maternal Aunts; Christine (James) Thomas, Catherine Butler, Patricia (Curtis) Bussey, Gloria Jones, Bernice Gliphant, Connie (James) Sheppard. Great Aunts; Sandra (Alex) Tolbert, Betty (Freddie) Jones, and Annie M ae Jones. Great Uncle; Dewayne Williams. Great Great Aunt; Elizabeth Johnson. Great Great Unde; Isaac (Katie) Anderson. Godson; Zakai Cobb, Best friends: Va'Jilltan Cobb, W hitney Henley, Trevor Wefcher, and Demarcus Wilson. Caring and loving neighbor; M ary "Skeet" Jefferson. A host of cousins and grieving friends
