Lewis Rudolph Golphin, Jr.
(Bubba)
Mr. Lewis (Bubba) R. Golphin, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 6, 2012. He was born on November 24, 1946 to the late Lewis R. Golphin, Sr. and the late Ruby M. Golphin- Adderley.
Lewis was baptized at an early age at the Beulah Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. B.l. Vernon where he served on the usher's ministry. He attended the public schools of Richmond County, and was a member of the marching band of Lucy C. Laney High School, as well as the graduating class of 1964. Later in life he joined the Mount Calvary Baptist Church and the E.A. Moss Gospel Choir and was a member of the Pastor's Sanctuary Church School Class.
Lewis was a fun loving, joyful person who loved the Lord and loved his family. His attitude of gratitude will long be remembered and appreciated. He leaves to cherish his memories: (two sons) Lewis (Deidre) Golphin, III, Broken Arrow, Ok; Gary Key, Augusta, GA (one granddaughter) Nicole Golphin, Broken Arrow, OK (three grandsons) Jaylen Golphin, Brandon Golphin, Broken Arrow, OK and Timothy Smith, Augusta, GA (three sisters) Elouise G. Wilson, Hephzibah, GA, Carolyn G. Faison, New York, NY; Lucinda G. Russell, Brooklyn, NY (five brothers) Stephen C. (Kathy) Golphin, Sandy Springs, GA; Robert Golphin, Augusta, GA; William Golphin, Represa, CA; Darryl C. (Ann) Adderley, Hephzibah, GA; Gerald L. Adderley, Hephzibah, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
