** OBITUARY **
Mrs. Minnie Lee Elam, the daughter of M r. W illie Johnson and the late Amelia Bussey Johnson, was born in Edgefield County South Carolina November 9, 1927. She departed this life May 20, 1986 at the University Hospital, Augusta, Georgia.
She was converted and joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church in 1940 under the leadership o f the late Rev. Gus Holmes, where she served faithfully until death.
She was united in holy wedlock to the late Dea. AbeElam, Jr., to this union five children w ere born.
She leaves to cherish her memories tw o daughters, Mrs. Patricia Jackson of Augusta, Georgia and Miss M ary Elam of Atlanta, Georgia; four sons, Aborn Elam, III o f Augusta, Georgia, Bobby Elam of Dayton, Ohio, Alphonso Reeves o f N orth Augusta, South Carolina, and Michael Elam of Atlanta, Georgia; father, Mr. Willie Johnson, Sr., of Augusta, Georgia; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Robertson, of Graniteville, South Carolina, and Mrs. Rosetta Paulson of Bronx, New York; one brother, W illie Johnson, Jr., of Augusta, Georgia; eight grandchildren; m other-in-law, Mrs. M ary T. Elam of Augusta, Georgia; three daughters-in-law, Mrs. M argaret Elam, Augusta, Ga., Mrs. Maurite Elam, Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Beatrice Elam, Atlanta, Ga., several aunts and uncles; three brothers-in-law ; four sisters-in-law, one god-daughter; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
