Obituary
''When my life ended and I cross the swelling tide, When the bright and glorious morning I shall see, 1 shall know my Redeemer when I reach the other side
And His smile will be the first to welcome me."
On Monday Morning, January 9,1995 the Lord extended his welcoming hands and peacefully escorted MRS. ANNIE JOHNSON DOZIER on the the celestial shores after an extended, illness.
She was born in Saluda County, SC, on September 10, 1909, a daughter of the late Picken and Mary Bell Johnson.
At an early age she joined the Rock Hill Baptist Church where she was a faithful member and sing in the Senior Choir and served as a Deaconess until declining health. She was also a member of the Rock Hill Burial Aide Society and the Women Aide Society.
She was married to Mr. Romulus Dozier who preceded her in death. To this union nine children were born.
She was a loving and dedicated wife and was always willing to extend herselfto her family and others. Precious memories and the positive difference that she made in the lives of her family and others will continue to linger in the hearts and minds of all those who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory; five daughters, Mary L. Coleman, Washington, DC, Annie L. Smokes, Carrie Dozier, Gladys Smith and Sherelleyne Dukes all of Saluda, SC; four sons, Artis and Clarence Dozier both of Saluda, SC, Romulus Dozier, Washington, DC and Henry Dozier, Queens, NY; two brothers, Willis Johnson, Washington, DC and Edgar Johnson, High Point, NC; niece reared in the home, Ruth Watson, Saluda, SC; forty three grandchildren, seventy-two great grandchildren, seven great-great grands; four daughters-in-law, three sons-in-law; one sister-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Humbly submitted, THE FAMILY

"Mother's The Roots, We are the Branches".
We are fooling ourselves when we say, Mom only exist in the Photograph On the Mantel, Or in the outline of our hands. She lives on beneath Everything we do. Her presence influenced Who we are, And her absence influence Who we is. Our lives are shaped As much by those Who leave us, as they are, By those who stay. Loss is our legacy, Insight is our gift, Memory is our guide. We love you MOM.
Lovingly submitted, YOUR CHILDREN
