On Tuesday September I, 1998 Deacon Willie Cullars, Sr. accepted God's invitation to come home and rest. He was born on June 4, 1928 to the late Marshall "Cap" Cullars and Ida Flournoy Cullars. He united with the Springfield Baptist Church early in life where he served faithfully as an ordained deacon until his health failed him.
He leaves to cherish his memories and carry on, a devoted and loving wife, Marion Reid Cullars of the home, four sons: Willie Cullars, Jr., Robert Cullars, Roscoe Cullars all of Kan sas City, Kansas; and Nathaniel Cullars, Sr. of Washington, GA; five daughters: Bobbie Jean Hall of Kansas City, Kan sas; Cherry Lee Reid, Bobbie Ann Canady, Clarice McLen don and Linda Randall all of Washington, GA; six sisters: Anna Jackson of Philadelphia, PA; Ressie Mahoney of Thomson, GA; Lillie Pink Cullars and Evelyn Danner of Washington, GA; Grace Parks and Viola Freeman of Lincolnton, GA; four brothers: Nelson Cullars, L. D. Cullars, Robert Cullars and Jim Cullars all of Washington, GA; thir teen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
