The Obituary
CARRIE B. CROSS was born on September 29,1926, in Blythe, Georgia to the late Rodney and Addie Jones. She was educated in the Spring Hill School System. Carrie accepted the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized at Spring Hill Baptist Church at an early age.
She later met Robert Cross and they both migrated to New York where they ater married in January 1956. They were blessed with a son, Robert J. Cross on April 21,1963.
Carrie was known throughout the community as a professional hairstylist. She owned and operated her own hair salon busi ness. Carrie was known as a very strong, independent, com passionate, outspoken woman. She loved her family deeply, had a great love for life and Carrie was a great debator.
Some of her favorite past-times were bowling, playing chess, playing cards and bossing her family around. She had a very competitive spirit. Words can not express the great loss to the family and the world, but even though we may not see her physically her spirt lives on.
She leaves behind: husband, Robert Cross; son, Robert J. Cross; grandchildren, Sean D. Cross and Tyriesus D. Cross; sister, Rosalie Coleman, Queens, New York; nephews, Ray mond Jones, Queens, New York; Ulysses Jones, Dallas, Texas and Bobby Lee Jones, Queens, New York; nieces, Seabell Campbell, Queens, New York and Connie Bosse, Freeport, New York; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends.
