THE REVEREND S. FRANK EMMANUEL Pastor

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever." Psalm 23:6
The late Mrs. Margariett Burnett, the daughter of the late Josiah and Ausley Fair, was born March 27, 1913 in Edgefield, South Carolina. In 1919 the family moved to Hephzibah, Georgia.
She joined Keysgrove Baptist Church in Keysville, Georgia, and she was baptized at an early age. She was a Society member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hephzibah, Ga. Margariett met and mar ried Marion Erket, and to this union one daughter, Susie, was born. The family moved to Augusta, Ga., and lived there for twenty years. Mr. Erket preceded her in death. Margariett later met and married Leroy Burnett, and in later years he preceded her in death.
In 1961 she moved to New York City, and shortly thereafter she joined Star Bethlehem Baptist Church, Rev. Benjamin Collier, Pastor. She was a dutifully active member. Margariett worked at St. Luke Hospital from 1961 until she retired in 1975.
Momma, as she was affectionately called, was a precious mother, grandmother and great-grandmother strong, independent, loving and caring. A pillar of strength, devoted to her family. Momma was doing her thing as usual, until the end, raising her great-grandson, Henry Moore, and her great-grandnephew, Jamal Becton. This and so much more tells of Mommas love and devotion to mankind and her family.
Her favorite scripture was the 23rd Psalm, favorite songs, "Amazing Grace" and "Will The Circle Be Unbroken."
In the past two years she had been ill. On June 12, 1984 God saw fit to call home His child.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter, Susie Moore; three granddaughters, Deloris Simmonds, Deniece Moore, and Margaret Moore; one grandson, Robert Moore; one grandson-in-law, Carl Simmonds; two great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; four sisters: Hattie Williams of Hephzibah, Ga., Ausley Jones of Augusta, Ga., and Gladys Mary Campbell of Hephzibah, Ga.; four brothersin-law and a host of other relatives and friends.
Sleep on, Sis. Burnett, and take your rest We all love you, but God loved you best.
Done In Sorrow,
THE FAMILY
