~ Acknowledgments ~ The words "Thank You" are so small yet how can we express our gratitude. The overwhelming expressions of love, the abundance of cards, calls, visits and prayers encourages our hearts; giving us strength to look up during our bereavement. Even so, we can still say God is good! May God enfold you in His arms and bless each of you with His love.
A special thanks to Gilbert Williams who has been there for us during our father's and husband's illness. God sent an angel our way through you. Thanks for all that you have done and is doing. May God bless you always.

Death is not choosy; he visits the cradle as well as the childhood. Youth and old age, all must come to an end. The redwoods of California which have been standing for ages must at some time become sapless and die. Flowers grow and produce beautiful blossoms of every hue, but they too must in due time wither and fade away. Everything must finish its work, close its books and come to a timely end. Death may appear at any time and at any place. He makes no reckless footsteps. His aim, his target, and his blows are sure.
Death visited our dear husband, father and friend, Reverend Walter Booker Jr. on Sunday morning, September 5, 1999.

There is an open gate at the end of the road, Through which each must go alone. And there, in light we
cannot see, Our Father claims His own son Beyond the gate your loved one finds happiness and rest, And there is comfort in the thought That a loving God knows best.

When I am troubled And lost in deep despair I bundle all my troubles up And go to God in prayer...
I tell Him I am heartsick And lost and lonely, too, That my mind is deeply burdened And I don't know what to do...
But I know He stilled the tempest And calmed the angry sea
And I humbly ask if in His love He'll do the same for me...
And then I just keep QUIET And think only thoughts of PEACE
And if I abide in STILLNESS My "restless murmurings" cease.
