OBITUARY
FOR
MR. JOHN WESLEY BELL
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain." Revelations 21:4.
Mr. John W. Bell was born June 7, 1913 and died at 1:15 a.m. on April 25, 1982.
He was born in Midville, Georgia, the youngest of seven children to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Frank (Hattie) Bell.
At an early age he was converted and baptized at the Robinson Grove Baptist Church. He moved to Augusta in 1936 and united with the Peoples Baptist Church. At the time of his death he was a member of the First Providence Baptist Church.
He leaves to mourn his passing a devoted wife, Mrs. Bertha H. Bell, two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Bell Samuels, Mrs. Mary H. Bell Stoney; one son, Mr. E. Curtis Bell; one foster daughter, Ms. Mary Alice Harris; one sister, Ms. Alfreda Bell; one half-sister, Mrs. Bertha M. Jones; eight grandchildren, Mr. Tyron Williams, Mr. Byron Williams, Mrs. Debra Burns Hunter, Mr. Robert Lawrence Samuels, Mr. Joseph Michael Samuels, Miss DeJana Bell, Master Damon Bell, Ms. Demese Bell; one foster grandson, Charles McDowell; two foster grandchildren, Tashonda T. Harris, Latonya Johnson: eight great-grandchildren: one daughter-inlaw, Mrs. Gwen G. Bell; two sons-in-law, Mr. Joe N. Samuels, Jr. and Mr. Ernest L. Stoney; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Rosa Bell, Mrs. Bessie Bell, Mrs. Pauline Bell; one brother-in-law, John H. Henley; three devoted nieces, Mrs. Mazie H. Bedford, Mrs. Julia Elders. Mrs. Roberta Sullivan; a devoted nephew, Mr. Mose Bell; two devoted cousins, Mrs. Alberta J. Stephens, Mrs. Rosetta Daniels, and a host of other nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends.
